I never throw distant my scrap paper. I purchase both 8×8 & 12×12 paper. I purchase both patterned paper & cardstock. When I frame a photo, I have at least of a sheet of paper left. If I split a margin for the page, I have at least of a sheet of paper left. Even whenever I split a 12×12 paper down to 8×8, I still have of a sheet left.

So what may you do with all of these scraps? One of my favourite stuff to do is to split out anatomies with hole punches. I then bind the punches on the scrapbook pages. I have hole punches that are circles, squares, diamonds & hearts.

If you make a 6×6 album, youll have lots of papers just the right size. Recipe albums make fine gifts. Write or type your recipes on an indicant card or any colorized paper & then split to fit the album. Youll find you may use numerous of your scraps when making these little albums.

I like placing borders on my pages. I often put a margin on either the went away or the right hand side of the page. You only want a strip 12×1 or 8×1 to do this. Ive as well put a strip of paper crosswise the center of the page horizontally. This requires a scrap only 1/3 thick. I make the center page borders really narrow.

Coluzzle makes alphabet templates. It only takes a little total of paper to split out letters to bind to your pages.

Now comes the doubt of storage. Ive seen people spend hours sorting scraps. Personally I would preferably spend those hours adding new pages to my scrapbook. A couple of systems that Ive establish that labor are accordion vogue folders. You may use a another slot for several colors. I do not sort my paper by solids & patterns, I just selection the predominant colour & thats wherever the paper gets sorted.

You may as well purchase sheet protectors & a 3 circlehosts binder & sort by colour this way. Again, many people I recognize sort by solids & patterns. Ive never taken the time to sort my scraps this way.

The ultimate system that I recognize may labor is the little rollaway storage carts. Ive seen them with 10-16 little drawers. They are really compact & may easy be rolled into a wardrobe or corner. With storage carts you may as well shop little details like slicing templates, hole punches & scissors.

When your scraps are organized, youll find that youll use them more, frugal you cash on purchasing new supplies.
